Mike Mason is a highly experienced radio broadcaster with over 20 years’ involvement in the radio industry, both on and off air. His journey into broadcasting began behind the scenes, where he worked as a technical engineer for a local radio group, gaining a deep understanding of the mechanics and craft of radio production.
With a lifelong passion for music, Mike was always drawn toward presenting, and over the years has gone on to broadcast across a range of commercial radio stations throughout the North West of England. Alongside this, he has also supported voluntary and community radio, helping to keep specialist music programming alive and accessible.
Mike’s musical focus centres around quality soul, groove-led tracks and timeless selections that reflect both experience and authenticity. His broadcasting style is relaxed, knowledgeable and listener-focused, shaped by decades of involvement in radio and a genuine love of the music.
As one of the founding members of Panacea Radio, Mike continues to play a key role in shaping the station’s sound and identity, bringing professionalism, consistency and musical integrity to every broadcast.
